CHC40108 Certificate IV in Aged Care
Your career in Aged Care
More than one million people receive aged care services, with over half a million people receiving support at home. Because the care needs of older Australians vary, aged care options must be flexible. The Australian aged care system provides a range of care options including community aged care and residential aged care. The system employs around 350,000 aged care staff across approximately 2,100 aged care providers. With an increasingly ageing population, these numbers are only going to increase over the coming years.
This course is suitable for people who currently hold the Certificate III in Aged Care and work in the Aged Care industry. It addresses work primarily in residential facilities within defined organisation guidelines and service plans.
