The following units of competency are included in this course.

Students working in a hospitality environment:

SITXFSA101 Use Hygienic practices for food safety
SITXFSA201 Participate in safe food handling practices

or

Students working in a retail environment:

SIRRFSA001 – Handle food safely in a retail environment

Students undertaking this course are required to be working in either a hospitality or retail food environment. We have designed this course to be undertaken by students with food handling experience. Students must have access to a retail or hospitality commercial food environment. Our trainers must be able to access the workplace. Workplaces must have the following:

  • food safety program
  • policies and procedures on food safety
  • commercial hand washing facilities
  • raw and cooked food product
  • hot and cold food products
  • food preparation areas
  • food storage areas
  • food storage equipment

This course is currently ran on demand for workplaces and large groups. Price will depend on the amount of people registered.

We require a minimum of 8 students to run this course on site or at a location nearby.
