Lauren Mills – Managing Director

Lauren’s introduction to Vocational Educational evolved through her desire to develop internal training programs for her own staff in a previous business. She had customised training to meet the needs of her business and sought to have that training accredited through recognised external training providers.

Whilst she met some wonderful trainers and became involved with numerous RTO’s, she felt the customisation and benefit to her business was not as robust as it could have been. These organisations did not have the insight into business and staff needs as they were not business owners themselves.

In 2005 Five Star College was born. From initial registration through to now, the philosophies remain the same – customise the training, listen to the client needs, seek and take a proactive stance on feedback and always ensure the outcomes meet or exceed the expectation.

Lauren maintains a hands-on role within the organisation and oversees all aspects of the business.


James Vial – Business Manager

James has 5 years’ experience in Vocational Education. He has a background in small business management, utilising those skills to transition into the successful operations of Five Star College.

James is passionate about marketing and sees the great value in creating a strong strategic vision to ensure Five Star College’s long term position in the education market.

James holds numerous qualifications in Management, Business, Training & Assessing, Retail, Hospitality and Marketing.

His motivation lies in ensuring that opportunities are created so that individuals are able to acquire the right information for them to make informed choices about their careers and educational future.
