This course is suitable for people with little to no previous experience in a hospitality work role. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of activities and functions requiring basic operational knowledge and limited practical skills in a defined context.

Work experience must be satisfactorily completed in order to successfully complete this qualification. We will assist students to source work experience in their local area and provide insurance at approved work experience hosts.

This course has been superseded. Enrolments in this course must be completed by 2nd September 2017.

To gain entry to this course, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have basic computer skills including Microsoft word
  • Be able to read and write in english
  • Have regular access to a computer and internet
  • Capacity to complete work experience in a hospitality establishment
