What is the Duration of a Traineeship?

The duration depends upon the level of qualification and the average number of hours a week you work. The duration usually ranges from six months to three years.

What Happens if the Trainee Leaves Employment Prior to Completing?

The traineeship is simply cancelled. The trainee is issued with a Statement of Attainment which lists the units of competency they completed. They may finish the qualification at Tafe or with another employer without having to redo these units or can simply add the Statement to their resume.

The Enrolment Process

The Training Consultant for your area will meet the employee and employer or employers representative at the workplace to complete the required enrolment paperwork. Five Star Training will arrange for a consultant from an Australian Apprenticeship Centre to attend to complete the training contract.

I am Currently Studying; Will a Traineeship take up Much of My Time?

The great thing about a traineeship is it is all on the job. We always visit you in your workplace, you are not required to attend any external classes or sit exams.
